I was interviewed for an award…

I won an award!! Well sort of…

Throughout the wonderful world of blogging, much like and e-mail chains or the social media “1 Like=1 Prayer” pictures, there are awards that get passed around in the blogger world as well. This one is sort of cool because it lets my readers (all of you lovely people) learn a little more about me! So with that being said, I want to thank and shout out to my nominator’s blog: Diary of a Gay Person of Color (and no it’s not the recent sports guy who admitted he was not only gay but also black!). Twelve Creative Changes to the HRC Equal Sign

In light of the past 48 hours, I’m sure we all have at least noticed one person who changed their profile picture to the red Human Rights Campaign equal sign logo. The request came from the HRC in support of the supreme court hearings to overturn both Prop 8 and the DOMA laws that are currently in effect. Thanks Mom and Dad — From Your Gay Son

Dear Mom and Dad,

I’m writing this to both of you because without you in my life, I would have never made it to where I am today. I have a friends who support me, people who encourage me, but most importantly I have a family who loves me. I’ve been writing and meeting so many people ever since I started this little blog and one thing I learned is that not everyone is so lucky. There are people and parents out there who think there are more important things in life than loving their own child. I’ve spoken to people who were abandoned, abused, hurt and forgotten and all I can do is show them that there are people out there like you who love. Continue reading →

My Undie Run

This past weekend I took part in Cupid’s Undie Run. You may have noticed from the donate button on the right side of my page, or the reference to donate on my Facebook Page, Twitter etc. I ended up raising almost $700 dollars so for that I thank you.
